Cerro Biolley Rural Inn
Cerro Biolley Rural Inn is near the Altamira entrance to La Amistad International Park, which extends from Costa Rica`s Talamanca mountain range into the western side of Panamá. La Amistad has one of the most extensive virgin forest in the country with endemic species like the Quercus oaks.
If you are lucky, you`ll be able to see the bellbird and spider monkey, among other species, as you explore Valle del Silencio, Sabanas Esperanza (the valley of silence and the savannas of hope) and visit the women`s coffee cooperative.
Getting there: take the Interamerican highway 4.5 hours south from San Jose to the Rio Tèrraba turnoff. Turn left to cross the Tèrraba bridge, and drive about 15 minutes to the turnoff to Altamira and Biolley. Turn left on the gravel road and follow signs for ASOMOBI and Biolley.

La Amistad Agrotourism Tour
Altamira is near the entrance to La Amistad International Park. It is the starting point for many unforgettable adventures. This community is famous for its many examples of creative and artistic recycling.
Getting there: take the Interamerican highway 4.5 hours south from San Jose to the Rio Terraba turnoff. Turn left to cross the river and drive about 15 minutes to the Las Tablas turnoff to Altamira and Biolley. Turn left on the gravel road and follow signs from 17 kilometers until you reach Altamira, where you turn right to go to ASOPROLA.

The Terraba Indigenous Territories are located in the canton of Buenos Aires in Puntarenas province, in the Boruca and Pilas districts. El Descanso in the village of Terraba, just 4 kilometers from the Interametican highway, offers quite surrounds where you can breathe fresh air, relax and get to know the indigenous culture, unique in Costa Rica and in the world. You can taste delicious traditional dishes like tamal de arroz, chica, picadillos and stay in comfortable cabins with traditional designs.
Getting there: take the Interamerican highway 200 kilometers south of San Jose to the entrance to Buenos Aires.12 kilometers by restaurant La Flor de La Sabana, on the Interamerican, a turnoff to the right takes you 4km, into the village of Terraba. Turn left at the soccer field and follow signs to El Descanso.

Getting there: drive 3 hours south from San Jose on the Interamerican highway to San Isidro de Perez Zeledon. Take a road to the left after you cross the bridge south of town. Follows signs to Rivas. As you are entering the town of Rivas, turn left 100 meters before the bridge over the Rio Buena Vista and continue 500 meters to the lodge.

Kayaking in the mangroves of the Rio Terraba
Kayak in the mangroves of the Rio Terraba while your local guides help you spot birds, mammals, iguanas, caimans, frogs and reptiles. After the tour, enjoy a delicious native lunch. Getting there: drive three hours south from San Jose on the Interamerican highway to San Isidro de Perez Zeledon. When getting to the intersection to Dominical make a right and pass the bridge. Keep driving for about 30 more minutes, you will see a soccer field on the right hand side, then continue about a kilometer straight ahead until you get to an entrance on the right hand side, make a right and drive for another kilometer `till getting to Coopemangle.
