Nacientes Palmichal Rural Inn and Coffee Tour – One hour from San José

Palmichal de Acosta is a friendly village in the mountains an hour to the south from San José, between the Cerros de Escazú protected zone and the Negro and Tabarcia Rivers. It’s the perfect place to enjoy rural life, visit local coffee farms, and see a wide variety of birds and butterflies.

How to get there: Take the road towards Ciudad Colón. Turn left at the Tabarcia turnoff and left again at the Tabarcia church to get to Palmichal. One in Palmichal, drive 4 km uphill to the rural inn (4WD recommended), which is 600 m after the San Pablo de Palmichal school.
