Surrounded by two mountain ranges Talamanca and the Central Volcanic Range, compound by four main cities, best services, facilities, international airports (Juan Santamaria and Tobias Bolaños), industries and tourist infrastructure, rich volcanic soils and the average temperature is 23°C (73.4°F).
The capital city San Jose is located in the valley, besides other important cities: Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago, 65% of the population, 80% of the industries and the best gourmet coffee.
It has two main attractions Irazu and Poas volcanoes which were the first two active volcanoes in Central America to have an access from the city to the border of its main crater.
Activities to do: active volcanoes, waterfalls, lagoons, canopy, white water rafting, shopping, bungee jumping, cannoning, botanical gardens, butterfly farm, horseback riding, city and coffee tours among others.
